Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Bad hop over EdEs glove. Double.
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Dribbler to third. IF hit. First and third.
Looks like Shearn's luck is running out.
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Berkman does what he does. 3-0 stros.
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Lee HR. 4-0.
Shearn doing a Dumatrait.
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Anyone get a load of Shearn's face after Lee's HR. Hilarious!
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Anyone watching this game? Bueller? Bueller?

I'm not sure what would make less sense.
Putting Bruce on the 40 Man before we have to and risk loosing someone in the Rule 5 draft (where teams will be out to get us after our last year's success) so he can get a few meaningless AB's.
Or doing that so he can simply sit on the bench.

Good luck getting that point through. They want their Bruce and they want it now.
Of course if the Reds did happen to lose someone in the rule 5 draft that would be held against Krivsky too.

Saarloos in. Shearns with 2/3 of an inning.

This might not be a good time to stop sniffing glue.

You're absolutely right, pedro. But do we have anyone worth losing in Rule 5?
Re: 9/26/07 vs Astros....
Shearn wasn't all that terrible. Burke's hit jumped over EdE's glove, Everett's was a swinging bunt...and then the roof caved in.
Still 38 pitches and he wasn't done with the inning.

I don't know whose exemptions are expiring.
But it also gives the reds the roster room to add guys through trades or ML free agency as Coats and Ellison are just placeholders who'll be jettisoned when the year is up.
