Dear Price,
Don't be a loser and a dumby. Please move Suarez up to the top third of the lineup.
Your's truly,
CaiGuy

How can you do this? Votto should bat third. Everyone agrees. And baseball rules demand that CF bats first and SS second. You cant break those kind of rules.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Very intrigued to see what Garrett gives us after his last minor league game.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
The only player in this lineup with a lower OBP than Peraza is the pitcher. The only player in this lineup with a lower slugging percentage than Peraza is the pitcher.
So naturally Peraza is hitting second.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Nimmo robs Ervin to start the game, bleh.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Ervin gets robbed to open the game....
Peraza flies out quietly
Votto seems like he just missed one and flies to semi-deep CF
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Hopefully round two for Garrett goes much better than the first one.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
I guess I am looking for a FB better than 91, and improved control.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Garrett hitting 95-96 mph

Looked like he had more time than he thought.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
My totally amatuer take so far on Garrett is he's having trouble controlling his fastball.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Scoreless first for Amir albeit with a walk.

Move Suarez back to SS. Problem solved!
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
That was a line drive homer.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Garrett gives up a HR to some jabroni. 1-0 Mets.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Garrett's fastball just looks so straight sometimes.

I guess, but that was just a horrible location. At least he's showing that the "soft-tosser" charges aren't founded.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Tucker throws out another baserunner.
Someone explain to me again why Rocko should start over him.

I don't think anyone is arguing right now that Mesoraco with his broken foot should be starting over Barnhart.

True, but hitters can turn around a 94-95 fastball that doesn't move or is located poorly. If Garrett has to back off to 90 in order to get those other things, this is a major issue. He's a guy I want to see the Reds trade in the offseason as part of a package to get a more established pitcher. The shine can't be off him completely yet, can it?

Well, yeah. But when Mesoraco is healthy? Barnhart should still start most games IMO.

I've never been a huge Garrett guy but I think he's somewhere in between the All-Star we saw to start the year and the trainwreck we saw after that. I'm not opposed to trading him but I'm not looking to move him just because. At the very least I think he has a nice future in the bullpen.

I think he's been used just the right amount this year, they had to rely on him too much last year and he wilted.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Reyes HR. 2-0 Mets. Another poor location.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
2001 Barry Larkin for Reyes and Ochoa? Yes, please!
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Garrett strikes out three despite the HR that inning.
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
why
does
duvall
continue
to
bat
4th
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
damn Lugo has Eugenio's number tonight
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Reds leave em loaded as Scheb smokes one to the right side but it's gloved.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Scoreless 4th for Garrett. He's looked pretty good despite the HRs (although this IS a glorified AAA lineup).

amir spent most of the year getting dong whipped by literal aaa lineups so we'll take it
-
Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Amir limping around, his leg is bothering him.
I think it's his calf.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Garrett stays in and gets his 5th K, but he still looks a bit gimpy.

Re: 9/8/17 Friday night Reds@ Mets
Welp, there goes the nice outing. Reyes homers again. 4-0 Mets, 3 HRs allowed by Garrett.
