If the Dodgers beat the Giants tonight we would be in a tie with the Nationals for the final Wild Card Spot! (Technically 7 teams will have a 1-2 record but our intradivisional record is better 0-0 LOL)

All 30 MLB teams played Sunday. The longest start was 6.1 innings (by Trevor Bauer and Patrick Corbin).
This is the first time in MLB history that every team was in action on a given day and no starting pitcher completed 7 innings.
Reds should petition for a rule change. Once a Reds starting pitcher goes 6.1 innings the game ends.
Marlins claim Justin Shafer from us....looks like their rebuild is beginning.

I'm suggesting that MLB take a page from its history and allow "loaning" players for a financial outlay for the duration of the season. Once a team loses x number of players they can " borrow" from a list each team provides MLB. No starters, of course but serviceable replacements like the just claimed J Schafer. After the season the player returns to his original team. Kinda like an in season rule 5 with altered rules to fit situations like Miami.
Marlins should pick up Scooter and Cozart as well...
If this season is precarious, I’d like to see Reds take some chances with young players. Maybe not yet, but if the pattern of absences across baseball continues.
Let Aquino play often. Try some new guys in late bullpen spot. Maybe Sims, Reed. Have never been a huge fan, but they both have live arms, maybe they’d take to late inning relief.
I can understand Reds not mounting up service time, but if they have serious holes, try Jonathan India. He’s an advanced prospect despite a subpar year.
In other words, if this season is messed up anyway, maybe let’s see what additions we might have for 2021.

Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire on the #Reds: “A lot of talent. A lot of very good hitters. They can left-right you all day at the plate. It’s a very good baseball team. ... They're going to be one of the tougher teams, I can promise you that.”
Ha, well, the worst or 2nd worst team in baseball took two of 3 from them.

Ian Happ, the #Cubs player representative, says the player reps spoke about the #Marlins outbreak today. The Cubs have been in constant conversation with the #Reds about their recent positive tests. He praised the hotel staff and #Reds officials for their safety protocols.
"Happ: Communication with Reds has been great." Complimented hotel and staff at Great American Ball Park.
"From a travel standpoint, super smooth, everybody involved. We know there's a lot of hours going into this, a lot of thought, and it hasn't been overlooked by the players."
Marlins claim Josh Smith now! First Schafer now Smith!
