I figure in this stretch our team ERA will regress. Good hitting teams at GABP will give a better indication of how much better this staff is than last year. A weak hitting Giants team did well in GABP. the offense should be better with the easy HRs in GABP

I like this explanation better.
“If you are putting one of your better hitters batting second, it makes sense to bat the pitcher eighth, so you have another guy in front of that guy when he comes around. Between the eighth and ninth spot if that pitcher is getting a third at-bat, he is dealing anyway so we are in a good spot. If not, the pitcher is going to get two at-bats and get out.
Roark gets Cubs quickly/softly despite Iglesias error.
So Rizzo has a sore back
Will he blame this on a bad Cincinnati bed?

Not. A. Strike.
Senzel called out on the human element.
Votto flies lazily to LF and Geno chases one slightly outside and K's. 11 pitches.
Whats attendance in there if we subtract the Cubs fans? It pains me to say this as a Kentucky fan, but there's too much damn blue in there! Lol
Is it just me or is Hendricks the type of pitcher that seems to shut down the Reds soft tossing strike thrower
I'm really sick of how often guys are called out on strikes on balls off the plate. They are making split second decisions and even when they are right they get called out. It's just stupid. I really cant see any argument at this point to go against robo umps for balls and strikes.
