It seemed to me that George Foster was implying that Jr. just doesn't care and was looking for a reason to sit the rest of the season. If he was looking for excuses not to play why even bother coming back from all the injuries? And it's not as if he got hurt doing something stupid, he was climbing the wall doing his best to help the team. This, I don't think, is a debate about where he should play or how valuable he is.

Good start for Milty.
Lets score early.

Having talked to someone recently who has a very good relationship with Junior and his family I can tell you he is not simply making any sort of excuse.

Do you think Freel would miss a week with a dislocated toe? Not a broken toe but a dislocated toe that was poped back into place a week ago. Just sayin.....

Today would have been a good day for Valentin to catch.
We only have 2 lefties in the lineup.
Re: 9/12/06 - Reds vs. Padres Game Thread
meanwhile, Uncle Miltie just went 1-2-3.
Earth stands still.

How can you have any idea what Freel would do? I don't. Have you ever had a dislocated toe? I have, and I've also had a broken toe and the broken toe was much easier to deal with. You or I have no idea of what the actual situation is with his toe. I would tend to give Jr. the benefit of the doubt, you would not.

Strange stat of the night:
Chris Young
vs, RH .796 OPS
vs. LH .633 OPS
Narron did his homework.

The way he's done his homework this year, you'd think the dog ate it.

Hey I just had a question. What is your gut feeling about Freel? That's all.
Re: 9/12/06 - Reds vs. Padres Game Thread
Hey, I went to a game thread on RedsZone.com and a fight broke out.
Shouldn't it be, I went to a Fight Thread on RedsZone.com and a game broke out?

Milton could give up a HR during a hurricane.

Well, so much for keeping the park in the ball.

You gotta give Milton credit, he knows what a HR looks like.
