Galvis took a number of ground balls at practice yesterday. To the untrained eye, he looks to be ready to return.

I'm a big DD fan and am rooting for him but I think JVM is playing his way onto this team. Blandino has been really good too. Sortable Reds spring training stats below.

This will improve after the Reds win the Central, the NL pennant, and the World Series in 2020.
It'll get even better the next season when they win it all again.

Early ST some said Rule 5 Payton was playing his way onto the roster. Maybe, but his OPS is now .656. Things change fast with tiny spring samples.
This is a very tricky business. Beware the stars of September and February-March.

What about stars of August who stunk in September/February/March?

At least in August hitter(s) face MLB pitching. No roster expansion until September. Not like ST with minor league pitching.
If you’re referring to Aquino there’s a glut of Reds’ OFers that may keep him at AAA. But I don’t discount his August performance. And after such a hot streak it’s not unusual for pitchers to adjust and the hitter to cool off.

Starting to have to Wonder, will there even be a season. If so, what will it look like?

It was in reference to Aquino. I was just curious of your thoughts since he hit the major league pitching but then failed to take advantage of the inferior pitching in September and the spring

MLB.com lists out 20 Cy Young candidates:
#18 is our own Luis Castillo: If this was the Cy Young of “one pitch that I really love to watch,” then Castillo’s changeup would probably get my vote. I mean, just look at it! It’s beautiful. He also throws 97 and struck out 226 hitters last year and the Reds could be good this year. If they are, so is he.
