Everything after that is mostly decent, very listenable, but not memorable, though with a few gems hidden in there. This last one is one of his better ones from that second group, but it’s nothing like anything from that first group.
I will add that he wrote that first group when he was miserable, and depressed, then he met his current wife Patti, started to become happy, and the writing was all downhill after that, lol.
unhappy Springsteen is always better Springsteen. Then you get albums like The Rising which is very underrated and somehow sad and joyous at the same time.

Thanks to the above post in the 2019 draft class thread, I substitute "Lodolo Train" for "Tuscon Train" darn near every time i hear it.
"I got so down and out in 'Frisco
Tired of the shoulder pain
I picked up, headed for the sunshine
I left a good team behind
But I've got a new third pitch
A scout's coming in on the Lodolo train"
"Hard work'll clear your mind and body
The hard sun will burn out the pain
If they're looking for me, tell 'em buddy
I'm waiting down at the stadium
Just praying to the twelve-six
I'll wait all God's creation
Just to show that scout my change
Now that scout's coming in on the lodolo train"

I really can't keep this album off Pandora. Sundown. Stones. The Wayfarer. It's an awesome.
One clinker: Sleepy Joes' Cafe. I feel like there's always pressure to put an upbeat song on an album. Ech.

I gotta skip that one, it's bad, rest of the album is a masterpiece.
Re: Brice Springsteen Western Stars Release
Not the biggest Baron Summertime fan, but I do like this album. The Wayfarer is probably the best track. I still prefer Nebraska, but it's a conversation.

I enjoy Sleepy Joe's Cafe. The only skip song for me is Hitch Hikin' which really hits me a weak song to start the album. I am fine with it if I have the album on repeat and it comes around after everything else.

It's pretty finny, actually.

Anyone seen this? I don't go to a lot of movies, but I want to see it:

BTW, every Bruce song I conjure up on YouTube has a Bernie Sanders ad. It's the same ad about contacting Mitch McConnell to raise the minimum wage.
Bernie's people are working it good.
