I really like Stubbs in that spot.
I really like the look of that lineup. They'll have their work cut out for them to be sure but at least Dusty is setting them up to succeed offensively.
can't wait to go to the game tonight! Is the over/under on how many Phillies bat before they test Yonder with a bunt 1?
Silly question. What lottery did the REDS win that they have to play 8 games vs the Phillies this year? We only get 6 or 7 against other extra-divisional teams.
Alonso handled the infield "toss-around" okay after that popup.
This may be the first game I've ever watched where the most anticipated play was a ground ball to third.
Bailey's first was impressive.
Wow. Two out of three to Phillips were outside of the zone IMO. Wonder if the Phillie staff gets those all of the time a la Atlanta in the 90's?
What a pathetic crowd. I realize it's Monday and this team is disappointing and all, but this is embarrassing on espn. The weather is ideal, the phillies are in town and we get 15,000, maybe.
Awful. The brewers didn't draw these lame crowds last year when they were down.
Reds go 1-2-3 with Phillips and Sappelt striking out and Votto flying out. Cole threw 11 pitches and Homer 14. Everyone looked lost at the plate for both sides.
Homer looks very good tonight. Glimpses like this are what put Bailey right into the future TOR discussions.
The Reds are going to swing away at everything to seeing Mr. Hamels 9 innings. 15 pitches and 5 outs. Good grief.
Through 2...0-0. No one has reached base and Cole Hamels has thrown only 21 pitches. Shades of last October.
