Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
Not a great outing for Romano but nothing to be ashamed of, kind of a normal rookie outing.

Terrible defense cost Romano a 6 IP 1 R start and a chance at a 7th inning.
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
I'll take that outing. Only gave up 2 runs and one of those came in an inning where his catcher cost him an out and he was developing a blister. Have they said whether he is coming up on an innings limit?
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
Gotta throw strikes here!

And nice stop by Wallach on that bouncer....
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
The Pirates have Reds have played 16 games this season. The Reds' starters have given up 2 runs or less in 13 of the 16 games.

The line looks worse than the overall outing.
He had Bell struck out on a missed strike 3 call and the E2 led to a hit. The line stands but that is one less walk and one less hit that should be on the books. Hopefully his hand is ok.
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
ESPN boxscore showing that second run as earned.
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
It wouldn't bother me none if the Reds trade Billy this off season
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17

3-0 Pirates

That has to be incorrect, as the runner reached after an E2 on a dropped popup.
Gameday has it as unearned.
Re: Reds @ Pittsburgh 9-3-17
I have no problem in general with Adelman. His job was to eat innings in a lost season. But why this game? I'd like to see someone like Chacin.
