I don't want Homer Bailey anywhere near the playoff rotation.
Is it really bad luck when the pitches are right down the middle?
Homer has gotten squeezed a few times this inning.

His split/change up is working quite well today. He had Carpenter out in front earlier and just struck out Craig on it.

I plan to start a thread soon on how BABIP has become the cop out for bad pitching. This is an example.
BABIP stands for batting average on balls in play. Homer allowed a high BABIP that inning because he grooved his average fastball right down Broadway.
Yes, if he was real lucky, those shots might have been hit right at somebody and turned into outs.
But generally throwing meatballs will result in a high BABIP.
