Louisville/Google Fiber

Any one here in Louisville that had experience with Google fiber before they left town? Google started work in my neighborhood a month ago and don't seem to be making a lot of progress. On a couple of streets they have dug 8"x 30" holes in each yard, then only on one street have they dug a 3" x 6" trench(from what I read the problem in Louisville was the trench was only 3" deep and the rubber sealant flaked off) for the cable and then covered up the cable with a rubber sealant-I did not see any connections to the individual holes or any connections from the hole to the house. All they have done on my street is mark the gas lines with little yellow flags. I am just puzzled how they are going to connect all the cables.
