you can't spell T-H-O-M without R-B-I
Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
Thom mentions RBI. Drink!

Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
That’s a disappointing lost opportunity.

Really trying to stay positive about Winker but it's getting tough

I don't see why.
Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
I know Votto has been hot lately, but I don't think he can keep it up with the way his approach is now. For some reason, he has decided to turn himself into a punch and judy hitter. A high majority of his swings do not have enough power to hit it out even if he hit on the screws and had the perfect launch angle.

Hes just not been great clearly. He has been heating up though. Just need something in those situations and hes not getting it done.
Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
Winker is pulling grounders into the shift quite often this year.
Like Votto, if Jesse uses the whole field, he’ll be fine. He should be able to make that adjustment.
The shift is a real nemesis against left handed hitters, and it’s not an automatic, easy thing to beat it.

I think he was just swinging to foul pitches off in his last AB.
He hit the ball hard last night

It sucked and that DP the other week in the Cubs game sucked but those ABs alone don't make me not optimistic about Winker's future.
Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
Winker has been disappointing for me but still a long season.
Re: Nationals @ Reds 6-1-19
West is so inconsistent. Gotta be tough for the hitters and pitchers with this guy. Please retire already.
