Is it fair to say that they average has still plateaued or even falling aside from 3-4 states?
We kept it below 60,000 today. 59,707. As I suspected yesterday, when the numbers backfilled, we had not come down. In fact today, we replaced a pretty low number on the average so we jumped up 2,000. In total since our low point on the 16th, we are almost up 9,000.
That said.... there are a few hopeful signs that this may have peaked in Michigan, NY and New Jersey in the last couple days. I think there's a decent chance today might be our peak of this latest increase.

That's encouraging that the 7 day average went down, since a week ago (March 25-26) the avg went up. I fear this might be due to lower reporting on Good Friday but we'll see
These numbers are so close that they change as they fill in. 66,514. However, that means they are not going up. In fact we have gone down ever so slightly 2 days in a row. And as we tread water, the vaccines continue pounding away.

The death trend plateaued for a few days but seems to be going down again, which is great, and what you would hope to see as vaccinations continue.
Yes, cases SHOULD matter less and less as the most vulnerable continue to get vaccinated. The death numbers are lagging a bit harder than I expected, though. Glad to see they are going down again.
I would like to pretend these numbers aren't affected by being Easter. 36,983. But I believe too that these will rise again. I'll apologize for that pun now.
