Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
So much for Galvis being hurt lol
Bell is so damn weird
Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
Farmer at SS and Galvis at 2B is interesting. I don't think they've been impressed with Galvis at SS and that may explain Garcia. I think giving Garcia a day off is a good idea.
Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
Hard to believe, only 20 games left in the Reds season. Unless they make the playoffs, only 3 weeks of Reds baseball left. :(

He many have been hurt and now is better. We may never know.
Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
The Pirates lineup has been added to the original post
Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
It appears Bell wanted Goodwin so he would have an excuse to not give Aquino playing time.

Honestly though, I think Goodwin is playing great, he is arguably our best overall OF.
Small sample size, but he's probably our best defender -- that's why I said "best overall".
I realize he's off to a slow offensive start in Cincy, but I have a lot more faith that his bat will come around as opposed to Shogo or Aquino.. I fully support starting Goodwin for at least every game vs RH pitchers, I would play him every day to be honest.
LF can be the rotating OF audition spot, and the place to let Winker occasionally play defense.

It seems like nobody on the Reds has any interest in giving Aquino playing time.

Yes, Galvis is still ok at short but probably has lost a step or two. Seems better suited for second now.
Of course it’s the Winker/Castellanos OF but hopefully it works out. Goodwin covers some ground.

You need a center fielder. Someone who plays the position for a living.
Re: 9-6-20 Reds @ Pirates
Working farmer into the rotation against a righty is odd.
I’d have Aquino in left, Winker at first, moose at second, Galvis at Ss.
Problem solved.

It would be a lot easier for Bell to put Aquino is CF if he had two guys in the corners that were above average defensively. Instead, he has two guys that lack range and make boneheaded plays from time to time.

Lineouts are so disappointing.

Votto smoked that lineout at 106.3 mph.
