Senzel hitting the majors at 23 is more about the reds being cheap and/or incompetent than anything else. He was ready 2 years ago.

I think Alabama is over the top, but I don’t see why he is being killed over this. Trammel is disappointing right now, can’t really see an argument otherwise. His age is irrelevant. He is an elite prospect, he is the right age for his level.
Should he be written off? Absolutely not. Should his results be concerning? Absolutely.
Why would the Reds start Senzel's clock when they were in rebuilding mode? That's not even counting him being blocked by Suarez and Gennett. They waited until the right time to call him up when they actually had a decent team to put around him, and not pull another Homer Bailey.
I did not intend to make this a Senzel debate thread.
The point I was making was Senzel coming up at 23 instead of 21 or 22 had nothing to do with development.
