Veteran leadership. It's all about the veteran leadership, apparently :D
Maybe we could trade for Dickerson...

Dorn and Frazier are not on the 40 man. Who do we cut?

Cordero? :)
Re: 9/10: Reds vs. Pirates--IT'S SLUMP BUSTER TIME
Could have had Jeremy Hermida last week for practically nothing. Now he's with the Oakland AAA team, I think.
Re: 9/10: Reds vs. Pirates--IT'S SLUMP BUSTER TIME
DFA Harang and bring up a kid from AAA to help until the end of the season.

Keep Harang and DRH at all costs. LOL. There's two easy ones to add Frazier and maybe Dorn.
Re: 9/10: Reds vs. Pirates--IT'S SLUMP BUSTER TIME
Shame Bailey didn't get the win

You'd still have to cut someone if you traded for someone right? Is there any point in having DRH or Del Rosario on the roster?

I'm fine with that also.
Re: 9/10: Reds vs. Pirates--IT'S SLUMP BUSTER TIME
Put Balentien on, cut DRH.

The thing is who do you go get? Look at the teams out of it, with players that could be available. I don't think the Marlins, Nationals, Dodgers, Dbacks, Pirates, Brewers, or Cubs have anyone available. In the AL, the Royals, Indians, Angels, Tigers and Orioles don't. The only kind of guys out there are likely to be lesser versions of Jim Edmunds and Miguel Cairo. Give me Balentien or Frazier.

DFA Harang. No one will pick him up and they can add him to the roster again on Sept 21.

Do you believe in magic (numbers), in a young Reds' heart?
How wins can free it, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the winning is groovy
It makes you feel happy, like a Big Red movie
It tells you about the magic that will free your soul
But it's like tryin' to tell a stranger 'bout ol' Dick Pole
Yeah do you believe in magic?
Re: 9/10: Reds vs. Pirates--IT'S SLUMP BUSTER TIME
You lose Harang anyway at the end of the year. He is a hood ornament at this point. Cut the dead weight and use Leake as your long man.

I was just looking around and you're right, there's not much out there. The only name I see that might make a hair of sense is Ryan Church (assuming he's not on a multi-year contract, which I do not know), which would be convenient with the D-Backs in town this week.
