Well I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t personally scouted Susac in person. I’m just saying based off of everything I’ve seen and read from what is out there Susac is not the profile of a player I would want the Reds to target in the first round.

Interesting speculation about the Reds using their large bonus allotment to take Young at 18 and Lesko at 32.
I would be elated with Lesko at 32
I would be happy if they get Lesko at 18
Perfect Game has a video in which they select. If you have the time, good discussions of some of the top prospects. Spoiler alert: They have the Reds picking Susac.

Past big picks at #18 include:
Willie Wilson
Sonny Gray
R.A. Dickey (although I don't know if that counts, as he sucked until he figured out the knuckleball)
Corey Seager
And the Reds have picked one guy at 18 before:
Jack Armstrong
Jack Armstrong - Awesome believe it or not fact of the 1990 World Series team. He was the 1990 All-Star game starter and Cy Young Award front runner at the break. I think he was like 12-2 and I don’t think he won a game the rest of the season In fact I don’t think he even pitched in the post season
Why not get creative and pick Jocelyn Alo with the last pick in the draft?

I know there are the medical concerns, but it’s be awfully hard for me to pass up Rocker. Especially for a team wanting to build an internal pitching pipeline.
Drew Gilbert, anyone? Seems to have one of the most MLB-ready bats. Fiery lil guy, too.
IF Rocker is available when the Reds pick at 18, I hope they take him
