Official Redszone Movie Thread, Part V
Loved “Soul”. Not what I expected.
Sorely disappointed in “The Midnight Sky”. Slow and passionless. Lacked a back story and I just didn’t get what it’s point was. A few good scenes but too much Clooney walking in a blizzard.
Re: Official Redszone Movie Thread, Part V
My gripe about Soul is that I wanted another 30 mins. It ended right where the ending should have begun.

George Clooney desperately needs a friend to tell him that he is not a director.

It was utterly pointless. Just a fancy commercial for the perils of global warming.

No one ever told him he wasn't really an actor, so I doubt anyone will tell him this. He's a pretty face. Without it, he never would have sniffed the big or little screen.

A script with an actual story would have gone a long way.

No Time To Die, the latest James Bond film, has had its release date moved back yet again. The film originally was scheduled to be released last spring, but its release date was changed to April 2021. It has now been announced that its new release date is October 8, 2021.
Speculation is that Marvel's Black Widow, which had an original scheduled release date in May 2020 and now has a current release date in May 2021, will also have its release date pushed back.

"In & Of Itself" on Hulu is absolutely incredible. Can't recommend it enough.

Hard disagree on this one. His performances in “Up in Air” and “Michael Clayton” are as compelling and believable as they come.

Not to mention all his work with the Coens.

Saw giant monkey fight giant lizard last night. The basic concept holds up. Oddly, I think they low key stole the plot of Step Brothers, minus the Catalina wine mixer.

Fun movie. I can’t wait to get drunk and watch Mortal Kombat in a few weeks.

Either way my brain is going to inject it
Re: Official Redszone Movie Thread, Part V
Nomadland was fine. Nothing special.
I completely understand why it's winning so many awards. It's a movie that's basically designed to do that. But it's really just...fine.
