Re: 5/9/14 Rockies @ Reds (Votto hitting 4th)
And that was out #3 with the tying run on second. Thanks blue.

The whole idea is to change the eye level of the batter. The pitch isn't designed to get you out. Thom never played the game aparently.

Reds are 6-12 in save chances this year. I'll be right back I'm going to go throw up.
Re: 5/9/14 Rockies @ Reds (Votto hitting 4th)
That pitch to Morneau caught just a wee too much of the outside corner. He was able to drive it.

What a bunch of paper mâché bats we have on the bench.

That ball came a couple batters too late.

I get that but if I was a hitter and saw a catcher actually stand up I'm pretty sure I'd tell myself "Well here comes an obvious ball, don't even pay attention".
Re: 5/9/14 Rockies @ Reds (Votto hitting 4th)
Okay, a 1st pitch Votto walkoff. Yeah, I could live with that.

Dear rockies,
I cannot take another reds 1 run loss...if you win..please be by 2 or more runs.
Oh, but please don't win instead.

True, however the batter better not be peeking behind him. That is one of those unwritten rules lol.

I'm up for one of those patented oppo bombs by Votto.

Go ahead and look at a hitter closely next at bat and tell me what he's looking at. I'll give you a hint - it's not the catcher. Most batters don't even have the catchers in their eyesight for most of the at bat.
