Those that hadn’t seen much of Leake the last time should have his number now.
Could see a 7-1 type lead after 3 innings
After being swept in the 4 game series by the Mets the D'backs will be fighting to stay alive in the wildcard race.
I'd like to see both O'grady and Lorenzen platoon CF the rest of the way out.
Joey Votto has produced a .423/.531/.654 slash line over his last eight games and is 11-for-26 against tonight's D-backs starter, former teammate Mike Leake.
Luis Castillo tonight could become the first 15-game winner for the Reds since 2014. Saturday vs. Arizona, he whiffed 10 D-backs and allowed just 2 ER over 7.2 IP. He is 2nd in the NL (behind Sonny Gray) allowing just 6.58 hits per 9.0 IP.
Geno just misses #46, a triple instead.
At GABP this game would already be 2-1 DBacks.
5 pitch second inning for Leake...
Nice snag by Iggy.
Joey!
Votto! :jump:
Leake can’t get out lefties.
Votto finishing the season pretty hot.
This is a ton of wishful thinking on my part but I really want to believe that the tinkering he did during the season was in anticipation of Father Time knocking on the door. Maybe looking at adjustments that could benefit him as an older player. I don’t know. Just hoping he has some more in the tank next year
Arizona gets 1 back on a few two out singles, 2-1 Redlegs after 4.
