RBI single by Suarez
1-0 Redlegs

Rib-eye for Eugenio. 1-0 good guys
Re: Labor Day Monday 9.7.15 Pirates @ Reds 1:10 PM
Great job 7. Surprised there wasn't a play at the play there that was a pretty hard hit ball.

He's not going to start Schumaker vs. a LHP. If Price doesn't want to play a minor-leaguer, then he will start DeJesus in LF.

Nice AB by Duvall to draw a walk, bases juiced for Barnhart
Re: Labor Day Monday 9.7.15 Pirates @ Reds 1:10 PM
Duvall works the walk. Bases jacked, no outs, 1 in. Tucker up.

Honest question Tom. Let's say for arguments sake that the Reds are unable to trade Cozart or Phillips this offseason and Cozart is healthy. What do you do? Who plays, who sits?
3-0 Reds! :O) Pirates not exactly flashing the leather today. *grin*
Re: Labor Day Monday 9.7.15 Pirates @ Reds 1:10 PM
Barnhart sac fly scores a run, and the ball goes out of play and another run scores.
3-0 Redlegs

I'd likely make Cozart the backup infielder in that scenario. I don't hate mth123's idea about having Suarez be the super-utility guy, in the lineup almost every day in whatever position, but I don't really trust the Reds to implement that correctly. I just want to see the guy playing every day, and see no reason to move him off a position he can play.

If everything in life was as easy as baseball is in Thoms eyes we'd all be styling
Re: Labor Day Monday 9.7.15 Pirates @ Reds 1:10 PM
Pirates with 3 errors, with 1 out in the 2nd inning.
They lead the league in errors.

I'm not opposed to him learning LF (Suarez), but not full time at all. I'd give Phillips and Cozart one day off a week every week and have Eugenio play SS & 2b on those days and LF on the others. I agree that his bat needs to be in there pretty much full time.
