Interesting
Tonight, I predict a Reds batter will attempt to take 3rd base first
^^looky there^^
I remember Chris Welch saying the Cards like to pitch around Bruce, I wonder how they will try to attack Votto/Bruce back to back.
Hopefully moving up to 2nd teaches phillips to not hack at balls.
With the way he has been playing since the all star break though, I would move him to 6th in the lineup.
A couple of other notes I have picked up today off mlb.com
Entering Wednesday, Wainwright has gone 1-4 with a 3.90 ERA in five starts against Cincinnati at Busch Stadium. His overall record against the Reds is 5-7 to go with a 4.01 ERA in 18 appearances (13 starts).
The Reds have lost seven straight series against the Cardinals, but they'll look to avoid their first sweep during that losing streak.
Homer Bailey has started six games against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium in his career. Not one time has he walked out of the park with a winning decision, going 0-5 with a 6.90 ERA.
