No Aurilia either.
:dunno:
Then there's Bobby Cox who basically Xeroxes his lineup 5 times a week.
Strange.
There's nothing wrong with putting Freel at the top of the lineup.
Sitting EE for Aurilia (against a RH pitcher) or Castro is one thing, sitting him so the hot hitting Freel can hit first is another thing entirely.
Freel got on base his first 3 times up yesterday, and scored a run in everyone of the Reds 3 scoring innings.
Well....at least RA is not in there for him.
What conspiracy theory do people draw from this?
He has also woken up to the fact that Lopez needs to be moved down.....hopefully, but doubtful, he will start moving KGJ down.
Strange not to have EE, but thats a STRONG lineup overall.
I think a big part of EE sitting is Narron's strong dislike for throwing errors.
Add in a hot Freel who made a couple real nice diving catches at the hot corner last night and there you go.
The conspiracy is still there--Freel is on the wrong side of 30. ;)Quote:

Almost as much as the bullpen. I don't think EE in the lineup those 24 games means more than 1 or 2 additional wins when you factor in just how awful the 'pen has been.Quote:

maybe it allow him to see more pitches to hit with men on base could be a good move by narronQuote:

Bare with me here while I do the math.
We have played 54 games with Edwin on the roster (ovbiously not all he has played in) and scored 341 runs.
So with Edwin on the roster we have scored 6.3 RPG.
Without him we scored 4.2 RPG
Even though those numbers aren't exact because they include games he didn't play in while on the active roster, don't tell me we are a better offensive ballclub when he isn't in the lineup.
You say that is if there are no other variables other than EE being in/out of the line up. Does he have an impact on run production certinally, but you can't just say the reduction in run production is only because of EE's time away.Quote:
