excessive player criticism or anything along those lines.
IMO a few posters are going wayyyyyyyy overboard on the criticism of the front office. I understand being upset the team is not doing exactly what you think they should have done, but it's difficult to read these trade threads as they are basically all just parts of one narrative put forth by a few posters about the Reds front office being incompetent and Dick Williams is the son of the owner.
I would actually like to see some discussion about the players packaged to the Reds without reading that it is absolute fact they are worthless.
It is also getting old reading a bunch of comments by these few posters about how anyone not jumping off of a bridge is an "apologist" and "deliberately have their head in the sand" and "blind" or "naive."
Enough is enough. When we do we get back to talking about baseball?
Just my 2 cents.
Re: On the declining quality of the ORG
You recently called Aroldis Chapman a "psychopath", and now you're pointing to excessive player criticism?

Sane people don't fire off 9 rounds in their garage. Not seeing the excessive criticism.

That seems like a hard thing to accomplish.

For a circle of posters, any criticism is way overboard. It doesn't matter what your posting history is, if you step out of line to criticize a move, you're moved into the knee-jerk crank column.
The reactions to the last two trades around baseball have ranged from puzzlement to "might not be that bad". Yet criticism on RZ has been met with patronizing belittlement.

For the record, my own criticism extends back way, way, way before the Frazier trade. It includes playing defense-first players when the most consistently successful club in the division doesn't do that. It includes fretting about possibly asking starters to relieve, or relievers to start. It includes never fixing the gaping maw that's existed in LF since opening day 2012. It includes the farm system producing a dearth of qualified major league hitters since Mesoraco made his debut. It includes valuing gimmicks like bobble head days and "wooooo" at the park over maximizing the opportunity to win to drive attendance. These are long-standing and valid criticisms about things that make this team susceptible to upswings and downswings, rather than consistent winning.
