The Wainwright Revival act was starting to grate on my nerves...

Reds need to finish second in this division. Win 3 of next 5 I think they get there. Yes, Twins are going to be tough, but Reds played ChiSox straight up, hitters are now starting to produce and the bull pen...outside of couple of freaking loooooooooosers..... this pen is rounding into form.

I thought the season ended in two days. Didn't know there was another series.

Baseball's funny.
Remember the 2010 season after the Lost Decade.
That year started off pretty slow - then poof 6 weeks into the year the team took off and wound up winning the division with ease.
And here we are this year - 6-7 weeks in (coupled with no real spring training).....and off they go?

This 60 week season is really working for the Reds. The thing about building a starting pitching staff is I measure their progress by how long they go through a season before they fall apart When they're all inexperienced it usually comes crashing by early July. Another season August. Then hopefully September and beyond. Other than Bauer, I don't think any Reds' starter ever pitched great into September. And I'm not sure they could've yet this year in a 162 schedule. So this 60 game season could turn out to be a real gift.

Rockies now up 3-0 on the Giants

Royals win 4-1. What a night. Reds went from an 8 seed to a 6 seed and are only half game out of the 5th seed

Former Arizona State SUNDEVIL, Mike Leake pitched well to start his career in 2010.
He pitched to a (5-0) record with 7 no-decisions. The Reds won 3 of the no-decisions, losing 4 with scores of 3-4, the famous May 20th loss 9-10 (Leake allowed 3 earned runs), 1-2, and the heartbreaking 0-1.
Leake’s first loss was June 16th.
Leake finished off 2010 with 8 more game starts ending with a record of (8-4) with 10 no decisions.
Leake completed 2010 with 24 game appearances ending 2010 with 2.
Leake was shut down August 25th.
