That really sucks, hopefully it's nothing serious. He was also an easy guy to root for.
That does not sound good. At all.
Only threw a few pitches over 90 when he averages around 94 MPH.
Stinks for the Twins and for Mahle. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but that doesn't sound good to me.
What was he on the IL here for?
Dang, what a bummer for Tyler.
oh boy, i feel bad for tyler, but the reds dodged a bullet big time here. got a nice return for him when his value was at its peak.
That stinks for Mahle. Really hope he's not following in Votto's footsteps. On the other hand, look what happens when you sell on guys at the right time instead of holding on to them for posterity's sake...
Any possibility the Twins can cry damaged goods and have the trade reversed? Don't want to give Steer and Encarnacion-Strand back. I think it's doubtful, but it's happened before unless I'm hallucinating.

Tyler Mahle will have an MRI to make sure there's nothing structurally wrong with his shoulder, but Rocco Baldelli said there was no acute pain, just some lingering soreness.
He's not scheduled to pitch again until Tuesday in Houston.

Hope it's nothing. Really wanted him to do well, perhaps get a chance to have some playoff glory.
