SI article on the NL Central teams allegedly all "tanking."

No one wants to take on Akiyama, Moose, Cast, or Votto. If we evidently don't have $15 million to sign Didi, then I say clear out some space to improve the club around the diamond. Its not that I want to trade him, its just the only real thing we can move to improve the SS position, especially when we have other players that could fill 3rd base.
A trade for a player like Suarez should bring very good prospects and salary relief.
If Reds are merely getting salary relief they aren’t maximizing Suarez’ value.
I wouldn’t trade him under those circumstances. The swap adds Didi, but it leaves a new infield hole, probably at second base, it increases payroll, and it sells a major player cheaply.

I believe that is House Tyrell

They may not tank, but they certainly rolled over when the Lannisters showed up. Fortunately, Lady Olenna got the last laugh.

I'd think more House Martell, though possibly the Mormonts.

Yeah, but the Tyrell’s always had their eyes on the prize: the throne/power. By any means necessary, including getting into bed with the Lannisters/Joffrey/Renly.

According to Hoynes, Eddie Rosario is in Cleveland for a physical. Seems even the Naps are re-investing some of their cut salary. Just waiting on the Reds now...

BREAKING: Cardinals have agreed to acquire Nolan Arenado from Rockies, sources tell @TheAthletic. Deal pending approval from both MLB and players’ union; Rockies sending Cardinals significant cash, believed to be in $50M range, and Arenado will be deferring money.

Names possibly going to Rockies include LHP Austin Gomber, 1B Luken Baker, OF Jhon Torres. Return also might include RHP Jake Woodford or RHP Angel Rondón. Exact package not confirmed.
If those are pieces headed to Colorado, that is theft.

Well Cards are the team to try and beat again.. Reds just sit on thier hands.. so sick of Bob owning this team..
Re: 2020-2021 Off-season News Notes and Discussion #2
The Rockies are a joke. Say what you will about the Reds but they don’t salary dump their franchise players until they are well past their primes. Sometimes to a fault.

Too bad about Didi. I guess the Reds aren’t “reallocating” quite so much money this year.
On to the next choice, maybe Rosario.
