I hate that disease too. HATE IT. I'm terrified I'll get it. My great-grandmother had it, and my grandmother has it now (she's doing okay though, so far).

Since my son "needed" a car, I was in the market. I drive a '99 Nissan Altima that's paid for so my first impulse was to say "I'll give him the Altima and I'll buy a new car".

Amongst others, I looked at that IS 300. Drove it a couple times, the saleman was calling me every hour, I was serious as heart attack about it. What a sweet car. I was very seriously in lust for it. Like, a 16 yr. old copping his first feel. Like a dog cozying up to a warm leg. It was all I could think about.

And then I came back to my senses. My car was fine. It's paid for, everything works, and I drive 10 minutes to work. What do I need wheels like that for (besides style and the occasional blast throug the countryside). So I bought him a used Saturn and I kept my car.

I really really really REALLY hate being responsible.

Poor site lines, rear and side.

Drives nice, eats gas and goes against this Subaru guys live simply nature.

But I lost my lust for cars when it became apparent that I couldn't open it up and do stuff to it anymore.

Yeah, I know. I used to have a '75 TransAm with the 455 ci engine that I auto-crossed (disconnected all the emission stuff and put headers on it). Did some serious vrooooming in it, went to SCCA school, and it was just a blast. No time for it now tho.
