I went halfway home but the guys were telling me to get back so I figured I better stay on 3rd. So I don't think you could call that an RBI. It's tough to pay attention to stats cause a lot of the time guys score on bad throws and misplays and you don't really know if it was an error or not since we're not playing with gloves.Quote:

There's a good reason why husbands die before their wives...THEY WANT TO! We see it more like being paroled.
I'm convinced I'm going to wait until i'm 65 before I get married. :p:
btw: this is my first post on this thread
Nope, the original 1970 Airport is a classic, based on the Arthur Hailey novel. It was the prototype for the disaster movie genre, which unfortunately descended into campiness as the 70's rolled on. The sequels were largely laughable, and deserving of the lampooning they received at the hands of the Zuckers in the 80s. The original is a good story that adhered well to Hailey's well-researched work. It's fun to watch it now to see how air travel has changed.Quote:

Paintmered, welcome to the craziness!
This thread is like a whole other discussion board. :)
I've been following most of the action in here while doing the wallflower thing. Guess it's time to get out on the dance floor for a change :)
Stay away while you can, pretty soon you'll be interested in what people have for lunch and what time they take out the trash. This thread puts your social life into the crapper.Quote:

See Creek's response.
Airplane showed the world that Leslie Nielsen is a comedic genius, a complete departure from his previously mainstream and respectable career.
There's an interesting topic. We have 2 trash pickups a week here. I've lived many places, but it's the first place I've ever lived where the city collects trash 2x/week. Anyone else have that?Quote:

Twice a week though, that's horrible, but atleast you got the wife haulin the trash for you.
The town my parents live in has it twice a week (Sundays & Thursdays IIRC)Quote:

We get two pickups a week here.
I wish the sun would come back out soon.
Four straight days of darkness/rain has made me depressed.
Nothing wrong with a little rain, it helps the fish bite. :p:Quote:

1 pick up for us, we have curbside recycling too, white paper, glass, plastic, newspaper, magazines, now styrofom though.
I have 3 years of tech styrofoam lining my basement wall, I have to bag it up and take it north of me by about 10 miles and pay 3 bucks a bag to get rid of it.
I think I have 6 Hefty bags full.
garbage twice a week. we have special cans provided by the parish so a truck can pick it up mechanically.
curbside recycling once a week. we're supposed to keep the paper separate, but the cans, glass, and plastic all get dumped into a single bin.
I take the garbage out whenever I want, because it goes in a dumpster. :p:
We don't have recycling though. :(
I think trash night is Thursday here... At least that's usually when my poor stepdad comes down and empties all my trash cans in the basement!! :mhcky21:
