Votto can't catch a thing tonight...you got to come off the bag...

Crawford pops out to short. 3-1 Reds after 6.

I'm not sure you can blame Votto when the 3 bad plays have all been hurried and off target.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Pop up to Cozart. Nice job by Latos tonight, not having his best stuff but really battling.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
After 6, Reds 3, Giants 1.
Latos at 57 pitches, 39 strikes.
Let's get more runs!
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Great job by Mat on the definition of "short notice." Now we need to get that run back and add one.

I guess the Reds will hit for Latos.
Probably the right move, he was shaky that last inning.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
I'm so glad Votto is out there, but I am anticipating an "I was hurting more than I let on" after the final game of the season is played.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Well, this game has been a heart attack waiting to happen so far. Sure not boring. And some great defense by the Reds.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
I'd hit for him. Can't complain with what he gave tonight. Gutsy performance.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Get himout. Runs for the pen would be nice here.

Yeah, we've gotten pretty spoiled by the phenomenal play our IF'ers have put forth this year. But none of those plays were even close to easy for Votto. But at the least I'd like to see him get in front of them and block them at least.

Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Marshall warming up. What a great job by Latos tonight.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Sean Marshall will be next. One out.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
Hanigan grounds out to short.

That double play that Joey turned was payment enough for anything he hasn't been able to get to tonight.

There's a segment of this fan base that loves to hate Latos, probably because the tats or something. After tonight nobody had better be hating on him.
-
Re: NLDS Game 1 - Reds at Giants 10/6/12
If only we could have Navarro hit and Hanigan play defense.

Yes, valiant effort from both LeCure (settling down the club in turbulent circumstances), and Latos (coming through with 4 innings pitched, on a moments notice).
Turn it over to the guys who got us to the postseason.

Stubbs flies out to right.

2 of those were routine scoops that he made all season...especially the throw from Phillips

there's your problem right there.....he's spoiled Reds fans all year, now it's expected as a routine play.

Whatever, the only run they have went out of the ballpark. Let's not fret over plays that didn't cost runs.
Now Cairo gets an AB.
