To those stressing over removing Cueto and losing him for the next round: It would not matter. If it is serious enough to remove him from the roster he won't be ready next weekend.

Yeah, I agree, so if the Reds need someone in the middle, who is it?

I guess another possibility is JJ Hoover.

Lecure, Hoover, Marshall, Broxton, Chapman.

Can the Reds get through this with those five?

Hopefully that strike zone is consistent for both teams. That will help this sticky situation immensely.

I don't think you can do that. I think in the post season you have to replace a position player with a position player.

The rule specifically says so.

That is correct.

Also I believe that a player can only be removed due to injury, so Cueto would have to be the player to go.
