Since the passing of my 36 year old sister, Shannon, in July of 2010, my parents and I along with so many of our family, friends and strangers have generously donated and walked with our team, Shannon's Butterflies in AFSP's, Out Of The Darkness, walk. I encourage you to attend the 10th Anniversary and walk with us at Sawyer Point, October
20th! The walk is inspiring and help so many in our community who had suffered in silence the way Freel apparently did. I'll never forget his spirt both on and off the field!
AFSP has done and continues do great things for our family and has supported so many others in our community who have lost loved ones like ourselves and have provided us the tools to not get over our loss, but to help us get through it. It will be a life long journey, but together, along with our amazing support system and community, we'll make it through.
So, on behalf of my family, our friends and all those who loved Shannon, thank you for this donation to our local chapter; you ARE saving lives!
