There's a song called "Where's the Orchestra" that closes Billy Joel's "Nylon Curtain" LP that's meant a lot to me. There's just something about the way the emotion, the disappointment, builds as the song progresses that knots me up a little. A few years ago, Phil Ramone was asked in an interview if there was a song he produced that he wished more people knew, and he named this song immediately.
