I noticed that today is the first day of the Dominican Summer League. Maybe that is where Chadwick is off to.

Off the charts great name. I would love for this kid to become a true prospect. Looks like he's got some solid tools.

Yeah but the editing on that video is awful. Well at least the part where he is hitting. Half the first batch are pitches he takes, then he his a roller back to the pitcher, from the "pitcher's view" he fouls 3 of 4 off to the RF side. C'mon just show us the ones where he mashes!

Reds sign FA pitcher Shane Dyer. Drafted by Tampa, he has not pitched anywhere in 2013 that I have been able to tell. Minor league stats are pedestrian. http://www.baseball-reference.com/mi...d=dyer--001sha

The entire transaction went like this. El"hajj Muhammad to the DL. Shane Dyer replaced him. Chris Berset came off DL. Nick O'Shea was released.

Pensacola has for sure not been kind to Vidal. He was quite the prospect until he reached AA last year.

Vidal has taken a nose dive. Miami-based player. Not a favored place to be from these days, biogenetically speaking.

This Pcola squad is hard to get excited about after what the Reds sent us last year.

we probably want see Vidal again if he struggles in Bakersfield.

    Mike MacDougal is released.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Lee Hyde, up from Pensacola, took his place. It looks as if someone named Trevor Bell took Hyde's spot at Pensacola.

Bell had a rough 7.03 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 27/27 K/BB ratio in 48 2/3 innings last season in the Angels' farm system. The 26-year-old righty is probably a lost cause.
