Interesting note: All of Votto's HRs have been of the solo variety this season.

It would also help if they could PH for a weak hitter in that situation.

But because they are stuck or we are stuck in the age of 12 man pitching staffs ....because pitchers now are 1/3, 2/3 inning guys or barely go 1 inning or can only be used against LH or not against certain RH..... you end up being a man short.

I don't get why, in the age of heightened awareness of the game, fingers very often get pointed at the guy who makes the last out.

    Yes they did. Agree.

Well, Cozart made three others we could discuss.

In the age of heightened awareness of the game, some people seem to be obtuse for the sake of being obtuse.

I find it a bit odd that MLB keeps putting up highlights of tonights game, but they resist putting up the play at the plate with Choo/Hanigan.

They aren't "ballyhooed" because they are always successful, are they? Is Craig Kimbrel not "ballyhooed" because he gave up back to back dingers in a game?

Sean Marshall is the Reds second best reliever. He's not a loogy. There was no reason he should have been pulled after that cheap infield single last night.

IMO, Marshall pitched well last night. Young had a great Ab against him. He fouled off a couple of really good pitches with two strikes that 95% of other hitters would have k'd on. Howards hit was a total fluke. Just a lot of bad luck in the 8th inning. It was a good game otherwise . Go getem later today.

A guy can do his job in this game and have bad results. Keeps me coming back for more and more.
