Jen Brady is a little bit insane. I like it. Australian Open finalist.

Medvedev is taking down Djokovic overnight. It's his turn.

Is it? Next person who beats Djokovic in an Aussie final will be the first.

Djokovic played as if he had a plane to catch.

That's nine Aussie titles for Novak. Has to be 2nd all-time for one player at a major, right?

    What's Rafa got...11 from Roland-Garros?

She’s got Kenin totally off her game and is obviously in her head. Kenin is so patient and never tries to overpower anyone, but she’s making uncharacteristic errors trying to get a little more from her shots. Swiatek hits with power, gets to everything, and doesn’t beat herself.

She looks like a force that’s going to be elite for a long time. But Ostapenko won 3 years ago out of nowhere and hasn’t done anything since, so who knows.
I said this the first time I watched Swiatek. Then I watched her again last week against Coco and then in the finals against Pliskova. I think she really has the potential to become dominant over the next decade. Both majors tournaments were clay, so perhaps she's more of a clay specialist, but that's not very common in the women's game. When she's playing well, she looks darn near unbeatable.

Been watching a lot of Tennis during the lockdown and I think that Sebastian Korda is the real deal and is our best shot for a top 5 men's player since Roddick. I don't think guys like Fritz, Opelka, Tiafoe have the complete package or consistency like he has. I also like Nakashima but I don't see him being as good as Korda.

Korda wins his first ATP title and cracks the ATP top 50 at age 20! Don't believe he lost a set all tournament

No American male made it to the fourth round. Are there no male tennis players in a country of 325 million?

It's very depressing....we haven't had a legitimate top 10 player in a decade. (And no Isner and Jack Sock don't count) Sucks that Korda went out in the first round in straight sets but I think he breaks that streak in the next couple of years.

On the other hand the US women are in really good shape with 4 women into the round of 16. Plus Kenin and Serena are the top seeds left.

When was the last time there was a competent American clay court player? All the way back to Jim Courier, Andre Agassi and Michael Chang? That was not a short time ago.
