Ichiro got 4,000. I don't care how it happened, that is very, very impressive.

Not many good pitches and too many fat pitches.

Glad the Reds piled on. It's a brutal game.

Please no complaining if they don't score another run tonight, the offense has done their job.

I'm hesitant to even poke my nose in this thread. I've been home most of the day, but had to get my daughter from band practice so I missed the first 3 innings. I come home to this.

Here's to hoping they don't STOP scoring runs just because I start watching. *crosses fingers* GO REDS!

    That windup is absurd.

Whoa - does Collmenter look as strange live as his MLB.com headshot?

You know, I was thinking about this the other day...I can't recall the last time Jay had a day off. Anybody?

Sure is. He's one of the best all around players in MLB history. IMO

Not sure about all around, but pure hitter, definitely.

Years ago I got to go see him play in Seattle in two games in RF. I thought he was the best defensive RF I had seen since Clemente. He made some unreal plays. I know it was but two games, but goodness he could flash the leather.

Baserunner? Defender? No power, but he's got the rest of it for sure.

His defense, arm and speed/baserunning were among the best in the league for a decade. Then there's that whole 220+ hits a season. He makes a pretty good case for one of the 10 or 15 best all around players IMO.
