He's been a mess for a while now. Start to wonder where his head is bc it hasn't been in the games.

It was a great stab by Votto. After such a play often a throw is rushed.

I'm not calling Votto a headcase on this.

Seems to be a DH in the making in an NL league with a small/mid franchise crippling contract over the next decade. Hoping his defensive regression is due to spring training and his slow and cautious knee recovery, but if you are Reds management you have to be concerned.

Agree - that was a tough play. good job to snare the ball.

Key problem that inning was Choo's throw. No reason to throw through there, it was a sac fly. Once the runner took second, there was trouble.

Votto made a bad throw but basically it was a bad decision, made trying to prevent a run. Should have just held the ball.

If Jonathan Broxton were a position player, his name would be Matt Adams

He rolled it the wrong way though. I've rolled mine dozens of times, but it always rolls towards the other leg. That went out. OUCH.

Choo's throw is still baffling. Cards are too dangerous to give out free run(s).

On the bright side, Joey did look like AJ Green on the catch of Choo's 15 ft high throw.
