So maybe we can win this game?

Phase 1: No hits. Lifeless from the plate. Leake gives up a couple.
Phase 2: 4 hits. Including one by Votto! But just one run. Leake holds 'em.
Phase 3: We actually bring some runs across the plate?

    Could go that way, no?

Makes you wonder how soon they'll be trading him, just like they do every other good player they've developed.

    Leake was sharp this inning.

2-1 bad guys, middle of 5.

    Good inning Leake
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Mathematically, you want the Cards to take the series with the Bucs, maybe dropping just one of the three.

Realistically, can't and won't ever root for the Cards. Some things are just plain wrong if not wholly justifiable.

I see no reason why we shouldn't get runs off of the Dodgers middle relievers.
But don't wait until they get to their closer. Need to do it now.

Was thinking the same thing earlier today - too bad there's no way for both of them to lose at the same time!

Leake gets on with a leadoff walk. How bout that.

The Nats have been horribly inconsistent--and terribly bad offensively--this year. It's a perfect setup for Fernandez since now the Nats also have nothing to play for.

WOW that was not a strike. Or maybe it was. Sure looked low in real time.

2 on, no out. Could be a big inning.
