To me in this hyper-connected age, its a no-brainer.
Jamie Ramsey has discussed this before and talked about the cost. I think they need a sponsor to take off with it and do it. Or at least do certain sections of the stadium and advertise those seats as wifi-equipped. The number of access points you'd need to cover the entire stadium would be pretty ridiculous, not to mention how big of a pipe you'd need out to the internet.

Leake's @ 72 and just batted. He should be on a short leash any way but it looks like everything is melting on field because of the heat.

I'm surprised they don't have wifi at GABP. I thought that was standard at every stadium today. They spent a ton of money when they built Nationals Park in DC on wifi. I tried it once. It was a little slow but not terrible.

I should mentioned that slow is partially my fault. Need to upgrade-still at 3G.

So, what happened, Thom? Does he forget he's on radio and that he needs to tell us what happened? Two innings in a row he's just went to commercial without telling us the result. Bases loaded, Paul at the plate with two strikes, he just goes to introducing the commercial. Really?

Mesoraco looks better today, maybe the hamstring has healed. He hasn't hit for a month. I'm assuming it's the injury. Today, he looks much better, even his first time up before the homer.

Reds telecast saying Cingrani is ok and should make his next start. Cueto threw 60 pitches and looked great. Marshall is getting close.

Reds should be increasing their pitching depth, hopefully there will be a lot of October games in which to use all these guys.

I think it's common almost everywhere. San Fran supposedly has a great system, but they're also home to Cisco. Based on this old article from February, sounds like a major issue at all sports venues:

I've been at other stadiums with wifi, and even then it's really slow, almost worse because it blocks out the regular cell service. Remember, you're going to have tens of thousands of people using it in a very confined space. To get a wifi signal strong enough to cover that would be extremely expensive.

I'm listening to the Cubs feed, they are vanilla and unaware that they suck as bad as they do.

But they do announce the GAME

Yeah, carrying a modem around with your phone was just getting too bulky for you.

It's "Linda from CincinnatiUSA.com day" on the radio, which means I'm about to shove sharp objects in my ears.
