You hear announcers - a lot of the time our own - bemoan the fact that the Reds don't turn a lot of double plays. What they don't say is that's because they get a lot of strikeouts.

I've been looking at that series for a couple of months as spelling real trouble for the Pirates. Shows you how odd baseball is. The Pirates rebounded from a bad series, and the Reds went the wrong way after the sweep of LA.

Big game for the Reds here.

There is no doubt in my mind that they don't pay Joey Votto to do IT work.

Mes really looks much better today. Red did well to give him more rest lately.

Two out rally...................cancel that, Hannahan pinch hitting, inning over (for all intents and purposes)

I'm going to keep calling for Hannahan's first HR as a Red until it happens.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Hannahan has homered once every 56 abs in his career.

He's at 128 this year, with none.

Did Hannahan just hit a HR???!
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
