Good example of a couple valuable Ks, instead of 6-4-3s.

I don't get this K thing. Ok, a K can sometimes do less damage.

So is a hitter supposed to K on purpose?

Whatever, just think the whole thing is academic. A guy gets up there to hit or walk, nobody get up there to K.

Man on second for the Astros.

Padres lead 1-0 in the seventh, two men on.

Won't say what the Pirates are doing in this game.

    Now 2-0 Pads.

Talking about 'must win' games in the next few series. Said he mentioned that to Dusty on the radio show. Dusty said, "wait a minute. I don't like those words, 'must win', 'need to win' because it puts too much pressure on my players." Marty saying if you're worrying about putting pressure on these players you've got big problems.

A hitter is supposed to wait for a pitch that he can hit hard. Another result of this approach (the most optimal) is more strikeouts. But since strikeouts are statistically no worse than any other type of out, it matters not.

Lets not get into that gain...around and around...Ludwick's AB was an example of overswinging trying to hit too hard...there is a limit to everything
