I agree with Marty on this. I'm pretty sure if these guys made it to the big leagues, they are mentally equipped to deal with pressure and expectations. If not, then idk what they're doing in the big leagues.

    Nicely fielded by Cueto

Big leaguers can still get caught up pressing sometimes.

No need to allow a chance of that happening if you don't have to.

    Trying to strike out?

Cueto is doing well so far. Hope he keeps it up and they have a good sense how far to push him.

Completely agree. I'm not even sure what Dusty's saying. Of course, that happens frequently.

He's saying that he doesn't like to overemphasize any one game to his players. Some might react by putting pressure on themselves.

Marty is saying that the players know how critical the game is so, if they are going to feel pressure, the manager's words won't make much difference.

    They both are correct IMO.

Now I can turn off the in-screen, track the score and just watch this game. Woulda loved to see them get no-noed, though.

    Why did Ludwick stop?

Fundamentals. (I'm not complaining about the play, don't get me wrong. Just baffled.)

Well, Ludwick was the designated hitter, not runner.

Then I guess the Reds players should be thankful they aren't playing in front of the NY media.

    Thanks. I was kidding.

But since you brought it up, nothing wrong with emphasizing a single game. Nothing wrong with players feeling urgency, either. Isn't that playoff baseball? Might as well get used to it. A weakness in Dusty, but that's just my opinion.
