So much for that Pirate team that can't hit.
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

    Alright. Now 4-1.

I'm in the seeming minority of posters here in believing this game, with the 3-run differential, is still very winnable.

But Latos is making me very nervous. He has given up a couple bad but not disastrous innings. One more like that without some big response from our lineup and, in aggregate, a disaster (for this game) starts brewing.

Latos knows this is an important game, right? They're all important but this one, especially, is a big deal. He must realize that? C'mon Mat. Settle dang down, will ya?

Anyone wonder deep down what team Sean Casey is pulling for?

Nothing in particular about the way he's covering the game, I just think it could go either way.

Geez, I hope not. Not sure exactly what that means but it sounds really bad.

Homer will win tomorrow. Less sure of Sunday.

Agree to disagree. We'll get to Liriano again. And even if Logan does come in...I'm confident he'll get the job done too.

    As I was saying. TODD!

They Pirates are not a good offensive team. Latos is slumping. Both Bailey and Arroyo should do better.

    Frazier in da house!!

Liriano has given up eight homers this season. Pretty sure four of those have been to the Reds?

Nope. You're exactly right. It's more a Gibbs Stayin' Alive kind of thing.

Question: rest considerations aside, does Latos's performance tonight (and perhaps Bailey's tomorrow) affect the decision of whether he pitches in a play-in game against the Pirates if it's in Pittsburgh?
