Tell Ryan Hanigan to his face that he's not a professional hitter.

    Marshall sighting
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I don't care about professional hitters. I want quality hitters.

If this series had been the play-in game, the Reds would be in the playoffs now.

This is what made me nervous. That's the curveball. It's just not right.

The fastball & slider, they looked fantastic...but the curve was all over the place.

Correct. Should have put in Soto for defensive purposes those innings.

Assuming I'm reading the darn chart correctly.
Well, the Cards are only 9-7 against the Cubs and we're 14-5 against them.

What can we learn from this? Probably nothing.

Not what I was saying at all.

Some people get really bent out of shape over strike outs (and I've seen people get on JV for his K total this year), but at least they're only one out.

Fair point. (I'd use poor hitters instead of "unprofessional"...but point remains)

Just remember that Choo is out because he's hurt. Frazier has struggled mightily against Burnett.

So the fuss is mostly over Robinson instead of a rookie? Or Hanigan over Mesoraco?

Yes, but the fact is hits and productive outs both happen, on league average, three times more than double plays occur in a DP situation.

That would've been nice a few innings ago.

That the Cubs and Brewers should both be taken out back and put down.
