Votto gets paid for walking! 2-0 Reds.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Ah, the ultimate clash of philosophies there....Votto walks, but gets a coveted RBI. Are both sides happy? Neither?

One would think this game would be no problem, but it all depends on which Reds offense shows up.

Ray Fosse wishes it was Choo coming home back in the day.

Is that a compliment to Votto, or an insult to Ludwick. Would rather walk Votto to walk in 1, rather than give him something to clear the bases with.

I just logged on after watching that inning Harrang did not want to walk Brandon but I believe he walked Joey on purpose after he fell behind 2-0, to get to Luddy. It worked out for them.

Error on Frazier's throw, and Harang ends up on 2nd.

What would be really dumb baseball is never varying what you do.

You can't simply never swing 3-0, otherwise you will become too predictable.

Bruce with two runners on swinging 3-0 if he gets the "automatic strike" may make sense in many circumstances.

I'm not sure if Bruce got a fat pitch to hit, but if he did I don't mind taking a swing at in in the right circumstances.

Is it dumb baseball if he got a 3-run HR?
