Pirates celebrating the Wild Card. Wow. Reds are going to wait. Not their goal this year.

In my book the playoff's start AFTER that one game. It's no different than the game against the Mets in 99.

I'd take that. I'd take Heisey keeping Heisey's spot if Walt were able to peddle Ludwick.

Hey, they're in the playoffs for the first time in 20 years. I don't begrudge them that.

Plus, I'm sure they know deep down that it's the last celebration they'll have.

Good for them, they haven't been there in how long?

We've got loftier goals, and will celebrate when those goals are met. We've already celebrated playoffs 3 of last 4 years and we saw how far that got us.
    Is it "next season" yet?

'99 when a crafty left hander kept the good hitting, home Reds off balance all night.

Hopefully the Pirates celebrate late tonight and lose some focus for tomorrow

While if I'm asked, I say the Reds have made the playoffs. But I do agree with your sentiment.

With 2 big hoss's going up against one another, it is a 50/50 proposition to advance to the NLDS...maybe 60/40 at best for one team if the matchup lines up well.

I will be a bundle of nerves until that game is over.

Nothing an accidental, inside fastball that hits Cutch can't fix

If we play the Pirates do we know who is up in their rotation? How have we done against them this year?

I remember Al Leiter as a lefty who could bring the heat? A fastball/slider type.

    Is my memory fading?

I think they will be lining up Liriano to go up against Choo/Votto/Bruce.
