sounds like that may be the first time I've felt like I missed something all year by having it on mute
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

Ludwick was 14 for 36 vs Harang before tonight.

The problem isn't that he's swinging at the first pitch.

The problem is that he's left 7 runners on base in four innings.

    C'mon Ludwick.

Cards with 2, 2 out hits for a run, now 2-1 Nats

Molina drives in a run with 2 outs before the Nats' 7-0 late-season callup (who only recently took over the 5th rotation spot), Tanner Roarke, gets out of the inning with STL stranding two.

    End 1.
    Nats 2, Cards 1.

Is it not Dusty's responsibility to build a line-up that provides some protection for Votto? He's walked 3 times in 4 innings.

8 left on base in 4 innings.......we should have blown Harang out of this game in the 2nd inning.

If he had half as many as he does, they'd still be close to the lead.

There is a reason that the Reds, Padres, Dodgers, and Seattle gave up on him.

LOL, Votto walked over 100 times when Ryan Ludwick was out injured. I don't think Lud is causing the walks.

Issue tonight is simply that Ludwick has had a very bad night so far.

Yep. Just like they did to Locke yesterday. He looked no worse than Harang.

The Reds would still have the league leader in walks, and it still wouldn't be particularly close.

Not convinced BP's extension was a bad thing.
