Righties in the lineup have to get to Niese.

I'd love to see a Deuce from Bruce..

Two runners in scoring position not the result of any errors? Again, good the Mets didn't score but I don't know how you praise that inning relative to, say, keeping hitters off the bases or, at least, out of scoring position. To each his own I guess.

    No deuces, just a K.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Uh the Mets announcers love the Reds. Much more so than the Reds' own announcers. I'm not used to so much fawning.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

Reds vs. LHP still an elephant in the playoff room.

Bruce struck out with a RISP. I still love him.

A passed ball is an error. Not *technically* an error, but it's an error. It's most certainly not Duke's fault Mesoraco missed it.

He gave up a very weak infield hit and walked a guy with a base open while striking out two. I'll take that inning every time because most of the time, those grounders don't go for hits.

I'd make the argument that while Mes got the PB fairly, Duke did bounce it in front of him. But think we're mostly on the same page here and not a big deal.

    Let's score runs.

In my opinion, Votto is taking way too many strikes this year compared to other years...and that's not counting all the borderline calls he gets from the umpire because of his "good eye" reputation. Anybody else agree?

Had to give away my tix for tonight. Starting to think it might not have been so bad.

I don't care about matchups or whether Duke retires David Wright or not. Leaving him in now is a bad idea.
