Trade the man! He isn't an above average hitter and wants more swag in the game!

Please, Heather, one thing this site desperately needs is you posting more. You're posts remind me what it's like to be a baseball fan and a Reds fan, like when I was a kid.

Like everyone else here, I was disappointed by the Reds performance the last two days. I had hoped for more, but sadly our team didn't come through. But so what?

Today I watched my 8 year old daughter's team play a hard fought soccer game that they lost by a goal. No tears, no angry rants about not having the will to win or how it ruined our weekend. Just the satisfaction of having enjoyed watching a sporting event.

Some of the frustration exhibited in this thread is understandable. We're blowing off steam about our favorite team. But folks, move on. It's baseball. There is just as much a chance they could roll out 10 runs on Tuesday while Cueto shuts the Bucs out. It's been a good season, a fun season. The Reds lost their opening day starter and cleanup hitter most of the season to injury, but still here they are. One game away from the NLDS.

Letting it ruin a weekend, or even a day is really just sad. Move on and let the things that REALLY matter dictate good and bad days.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

How the dear old Redlegs perform and whether they play up to what I perceive to be their capabilities, REALLY matters to me. Thats a judgment I made a long time ago and I'm fine with it. I don't think I'm hurting anyone by feeling that way. Having some stranger on the internet tell me what should really matter to me also bothers me. Don't think I'm hurting anyone by feeling that way either.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's soccer team. Maybe if the Reds had played a "hardfought game" the last two days I wouldn't feel so bad.

Heather! I'm quite certain you gave it your all and then some. And, if only there had been a few thousand more Heathers there today, the result would have been different. Finally, you're now, what? 15-2?! C'mon! That's a great year.

Now, take me for example. Sure I was kind of 2-1 last weekend at PNC but really just 1-1 since I only saw the Sat and Sun games. And, looking back to two of the series I know I saw this year, against Washington in CIN and in DC, I'm guessing I may be around .500 if I'm lucky if I counted the few other series I caught in CIN and one or two other cities.

So, I'll very likely be there Tuesday. Haven't a clue whether that'll be a good or bad thing. But I will have carefully-chosen Reds gear on and I will be making a bit of noise. If Luddy does okay, I'll at least take credit for that if not the whole win

Hanigan instead of Mes but keep him in the 5-hole for sure.

    Re: 9/28/13 Reds v. Pirates

Awww, thanks guys. My weekend hasn't really been ruined by the games (I still have fun down at GABP but seeing a win does make it a little more fun) but I really thought my record was going to make this an extra fun weekend (now 15-3). I've seen close games, blowouts, walk offs, pitching duels, and almost every kind of game you can see in a season (I was even at the game where Mat gave up like 6 runs and still got the win because the Reds scored 13 for him), so I was prepared for anything this weekend....except seeing two losses in a row, LOL

Win on Tuesday though and this all goes away so GO REDS.
